He allows you to have the privilege of being in his grand presence and to pay him your affection. Personality Horchata is sweet and quiet. He is an athletic, fit, fine specimen of a cat who is well built, tall and good looking. He makes the lady cats swoon. He loves attention, but often likes to stay up high and choose when he comes down to your level to share some of his love. He will come socialize with the other cats at dinner time, but generally likes to have his own space to watch and observe from his perch. If you reach out for him he will gladly come to you and pet himself against your hand. He is independent but doesn’t make himself scarce, he is always close by looking out over his kingdom. Background Horchata and his extended family were born to a stray cat named Katrina. A good Samaritan took pregnant Katrina in, and then ended up with 18 adult cats after they did not spay her and she ended up having a second litter. Their owner kept them ALL, loved them a lot, gave them names and knew their histories, but could not care for that many adequately. The cats are all adults between the ages of 3 and 5 years old, and all very sweet and friendly, black tuxedos, calicos and orange tabbies. Their owner was evicted in November 2022. She took 5 of the cats to the hotel with her, and 13 of the adult cats ended up at a GNAR group foster home.
