My Story

The contact link is not working consistently. Please email kitty's foster parent directly. Sharon: Email: [email protected] Text: 775-901-8699 When you text or email it is imperative that you state your name and what kitten you are inquiring about. Midge and Hopper were born at one of our foster homes on April 2 to a feral mama. Feral mama cats are the best when they're able to have their kittens and raise them in an environment where the babies can become accustomed to humans from the beginning. They get the benefit of having mama feed them and raise them, and the benefit their mama didn't have: human interaction from the get-go to learn to trust. These kittens are friendly and playful. Midge and Hopper love each other and it would be awesome if they could be adopted together. We will not deny an adoption of just one, but we believe two kittens are better than one every day of the week!! Midge is a shorthair black beauty with a sleek coat. Hopper is a shorthair brown tabby and is a super cute boy! The adoption will be coordinated with their foster mom and the adopter: Douglas County Animal Services 921 Dump Road Gardnerville. Shelter staff will administer the kitten's microchip and first FVRCP shot at the adoption The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the FVRCP booster in 3-4 weeks The adopter is also responsible for scheduling sterilization If the adopter chooses one of our contracted veterinary offices, the adoption paperwork will cover the cost of sterilization and rabies shot. If another vet is used, the adopter may submit documentation of both sterilization and rabies shot to the shelter, and the shelter will refund the adoption fee.
