Hoover

Hoover is a dapper guy who enjoys a good bowtie. He is an excellent bag inspector, very thorough. He is frequently found napping in drawers (he's going to check out all your cabinets and drawers). Besides drawers and bags Hoover enjoys sampling all all the cheeses (feta does not go down well). Hoover needs to be in a house without other cats but he seems to enjoy the company of dogs. Hoover has hyperthyroid and will be on meds for life for this condition. The good news is his pill taking skills get an A+, just put it in a pill pocket and he gobbles it right up. OUR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM PROCESS: Not sure if a particular pet will be the perfect match? Our foster-to-adopt program is the way to go! The program is essentially a trial period so we can be sure your selection is a good fit for your home and family. This is especially helpful if you have other pets and children or just need more time to make a final decision. FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS The foster-to-adopt program requires a fully approved application. Applicants must be 21 years or older. All applicants must complete an application, undergo a residency and vet verification, plus a virtual interview/home visit prior to application approval. We also require a drivers' license, or other form of ID, for each adult in the household. CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK We process adoptions through ShelterLuv. This will allow us to quickly determine if we have what you are looking for readily available or in one of our foster homes still going through the vetting process. You will hear from us in the next few days. Please note, FMCA is an all-volunteer organization and most of our volunteers work full-time, so please be patient. After an applicant is fully approved and an appropriate pet is selected, we will coordinate pet transfer. We will stay in touch to monitor during the two-or three-week trial period. If it's a go, we will finalize the adoption electronically. During the trial period, we are always available to help with items such as getting pets settled in, pet introductions and ways to help shy pets acclimate.
