Holstein

Holstein came to us after he was found living in a colony without access to regular food or water but he's friendly as can be! We don't know exactly how old he is but the vets guess he's about 5 years old. He has spent the past 3 months getting healthy and robust in a foster home. He was a little timid for the first few days, spending time hiding high up in a closet, but within the week he was warming up and following foster mom around and enjoying pets, chin and cheek rubs, and all the food and soft beds. He struggled to get his tummy troubles under control (who knows what he was eating before!) and saw the vet quite a bit where he was a perfect gentleman. His litter box habits are now impeccable and he keeps his newly grown in fur nice and shiny and clean. He is an expert biscuit maker and politely snuggles up to foster mom during the night. Due to his history of fending for himself he gets pretty defensive of his space and food so he should be an only cat. He might do okay with an easy-going dog friend. Holstein will make a great companion with a little time to come out of his shell. If you're looking to give a great guy a 2nd chance in life this is the cat for you!
