This senior Manx--about 14 years old, by our best guess--has not had the easiest time of it, yet he has maintained a very sweet, mellow personality. Happy Jack was abandoned by his owner and for about two years a kind neighbor cared for him, feeding him outside. Eventually that person brought him to Cat Adoption Team for an opportunity at his own forever home.
Happy Jack is master of the silent meow, which he uses often and very charmingly. He also has a soft squeaky meow which he likes to use when he's very excited--like when he's greeting you after a long absence, or when it's time for a meal (wet food twice daily, please! hey, when you're a senior cat, you're entitled to be pampered!).
Happy Jack is also the perfect lap cat. He loves nothing better than to curl up on a lap, and once there, purrs constantly and will even purr himself to sleep. Jack's main interests are in getting a few square meals of day and visiting with people, because he loves to be petted and and have his head rubbed. He is looking for a quiet household where he can be the only pet.
As a senior cat, Happy Jack is fully settled into his quiet, sweet personality and is not likely to be climbing your curtains or waking you up at night. He is much more likely to be a constant, faithful companion! And as it is not uncommom for indoor cats who are well taken care care to live well into their teens or beyond, Jack is hoping to spend his golden years in a comfortable retirement with a loving person or family. This is one fellow who deserves a happy ending!
Happy Jack is currently in foster care. If you are interested in adopting him and would like to meet him, please call Kari at 503.710.8245.
