Aloha!
Did you know that there are many ways to refer to mother in Japanese? Typically, the word Okaasan is the term used when speaking to your own mother or about someone else's mother. Well Haha Oya is the word for any female that has a child, it literally means mother-parent. It can be used to talk about human mothers or even animal mothers.
Well, that is how this sweet kitty got her name. She is a mother- parent. When rescued she had already had two litters of kittens and it was time to stop, the cycle and help her live a better life.
Haha Oya is such a resilient little lady, curious, affectionate, and so kind, it's hard to believe that she was born and grew up in the streets of Kailua, Hawaii. As a ferel kitty she was forced to have litters of kittens at a very young age, but despite this she is healthy and thriving in foster care. She is attentive and kind to the other kitties, and really enjoys getting scratches and pets. Once she finds her person, she will make an amazing companion. When you look into her big green eyes you can see a beautiful soul.
Haha Oya is shy at first but then friendly, and loves humans, other cats, and she is probably ok with friendly dogs after a period of introduction. She is litterbox trained, spayed vaccinated Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV, and microchipped. All she needs now is you and your family to take her home!
