Grizzly

This is a courtesy listing for a friend of the rescue. They have been transferred to an army base out of state where they are only allowed to bring 3 of their 5 pets due to regulations. They are asking for help for the 2 that are adoptable as their other three pets are special needs/ paralyzed. We will forward your applications to the owner. They will adopt within 20 miles of Des Plaines, IL. Grizzly is a sweet, affectionate chunk of a cat who enjoys spending time with his humans. He gets along well with other cats and dogs and doesn’t actively participate in “typical” cat behaviors, such as knocking items off shelves or jumping on counters. He will choose a “favorite” box for all his business in a multiple litterbox home. While he occasionally gets the “zoomies” (usually after using the litter box), he is typically very relaxed. He loves mealtime, birdwatching, sleeping, neck scratches, and bathing himself (and sometimes humans and other animals). Grizzly may be timid and hide until he feels comfortable with his new surroundings. -8 years old (best guess) -Male/Neutered -Microchipped -No health issues -Easy nail trims -Fully Vetted/Vaccinated (will make sure everything is up-to-date before adoption) Additional notes: -Blackie and Grizzly were originally taken in from a suspected animal hoarding situation. -Blackie and Grizzly get along with each other and can be adopted together. -Blackie does display domination behavior with Grizzly (primarily neck biting and holding down) but no fighting. Interestingly, Grizzly just goes along with it. -When we took them in, I was told they were a bonded pair; but based on my observation over the last 3 years, I don’t believe this is true.
