My Story

Meet Gretchen, a delightful 5-year-old shorthaired brown tabby cat with a heart as warm as her fur. Gretchen may be a bit reserved at first, but once she warms up to you, her sweet and affectionate nature shines through. She adores human companionship and revels in the joy of belly rubs, melting into your touch with purrs of contentment. Gretchen's gentle spirit and loving disposition make her a cherished companion for anyone lucky enough to earn her trust. With her endearing personality and penchant for affection, Gretchen is sure to bring joy and warmth to the hearts of her new family members, providing endless love and companionship in return. She has FIV, which means she has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats. If you are interested in adopting her, call the APL at 217-544-7387 or fill out an application at apl-shelter.org!
