Adopted, 6-08, thank you Jack in Rathdrum, ID! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~IN 4-2-08. Cause she's sweet and delicious! This wonderful 10-12yr old cat was caught in a live-trap during a routine trapping at a feral colony. We here at Second Chance have developed a program to help this community with the ever increasing feral cat problem, nobody else seemed to want to step up to the plate! We set live-traps, catch, sterilize and vaccinate, and ear tip as many ferals as we can, every single week! We desparately need more funds for this, so please send your tax deductible donations to SCPR, PO BOX 687, HAYDEN, ID 83835.
Now, a little more about "Granny". We noticed she wasn't afraid of us, and actually "talked" up a storm and wanted to be pet in the trap. Upon closer examination, we discovered she was already spayed, and just as sweet as could be. She, did however, have a mouth full of rotten teeth and an abcess root bed. There is no way she could have been comfortable or eat without pain. We took her in for an emergency dental, where she had several extractions. We scrubbed her up in the tub, it took 3 baths to get her clean! She LOVED it. She is now here, comfortable, sleeping in her snuggly bed and just as thankful as a cat could ever be. She only get's out of her heated warm bed to eat and go potty in her box!!! She thinks she's died and gone to Heaven, I 'm sure! We think she must have been "dumped" by some uncaring owners, when they couldn't (or wouldn't) care for her any longer. Just imagine, your sweet, senior house cat having to live like a wild animal, outside on the streets, eating out of garbage cans and dumpsters....freezing cold nights, rain, sleet, snow and hail.... poor old girl, she's luck she's still alive! We had the "F" tests done on her and she's free and clear of the kitty diseases. NICE older cat would make a great companion for an older person. She likes to sleep, ALOT!
