Gordon

Gordon is a special cat who's looking for a special adopter. Gordon was born into an outdoor colony and taken into rescue at a young age. Unfortunately, he has remained reserved and hesitant around humans. He is not feral. He is happy to see people he knows and will take food from your hand. He, however, is still afraid of being touched. Gordon is amazing with other cats. He is happy to snuggle up with anyone who agrees and will run around and play as well. He's been a good friend to several of our other shelter cats who have felt they needed to retreat from the group (we have an open kennel environment). Gordon's sister had a similar personality and is thriving in a home with multiple other cats and a patient, experienced cat owner. We're hoping to find a similar situation for Gordon. We believe with more consistent attention than what we can offer in a kennel environment, he can learn to be an amazing pet. He has a heart of gold, and you can tell he's trying. He just needs a special person to help him along in his journey. Adopters will need to have another cat-friendly cat at home to help him continue learning how to be a cat. This has been a very important component of his growth thus far. All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated.
