My Story

Goose is a one and half year old tabby tux. He was rescued last year as a kitten from a house that had 40+ cats. He was great in foster and adopted by a family with small children and another cat. Apparently, he did not get along with the existing cat and was deemed too aggressive to keep. The adopters claimed their vet recommended humane euthanasia if they could not rehome him as a barn cat. Luckily, they reached out to Feisty Felines and we took him back in. Goose arrived at his current foster’s house a bit scared and jumpy. Sudden noises and unexpected touch startle him at first. He seemed completely over stimulated when let loose in the cat room. Which jived with what we expected - that he was probably left in a room all alone with minimal stimulation or socialization. He is a total love bug when he settles in. Any adult visitors to his foster’s house have been met with head butts, facials (he likes licking faces), and some minor hair styling. However, he hides when kids come over. He has settled in well with the resident cats and respects their boundaries when they let him know he’s getting too close. He is also a bull in a China shop. This guy gets parkour-zoomies and it can be intense! He needs a home where he can get lots of play time and exercise (cat shelves mounted high on a wall where he can jump around and watch the world would be dreamy). He can play a bit rough and get a little mouthy when overstimulated - like any cat does when you pet their belly any more than 3.7 times. Goose would do best in a home without kids given their unpredictable sounds, smells, and movement. He has gotten along best with a resident cat his same age. A home with another young cat that he can romp around and play with would be amazing! We believe he would do well with dogs. To be considered, please apply at feistyfelines.org/adoption-application. Adoption fees for kittens are $200/one or $325/pair, adults are $125. “Shy guys” and special cases may be discounted. Includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and combo testing done on the litter.
