Personality type: A "work-in-progress cat" on his way to "professional cuddler!" George Clooney is friendly, playful, and quirky, and as handsome as his namesake. Formerly a colony cat, he has been in foster care for a few months now, and has evolved from a hissy cat hiding behind the couch to a cat who wants to give relentless headbutts and then fall asleep next to you like velcro. George likes being pet, but only for a limited time. Some sort of past trauma makes him wary of hands, which we have been working on and will need to continue to be worked on to build his trust. But if you accept him for the cat he is and the cat he can become, you are going to be rewarded with a really cool cat! More recently, George has learned what toys are (there aren't really toys in the wild!) and has embraced the joys of playing -- and now he thinks that stick toys and stuffed catnip things are just the best thing ever. If you are doing anything else, George will sit and stare at the stick toy and guilt you into playing with him. After some introductions, George would get along with cats who are calmer and laid back--he prefers to be the big cheese -- but would also do great as an only cat. George is FIV+ and he CAN live with other friendly cats. George Clooney is around 8-10 years old and is neutered, FeLV negative, FIV positive, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
