Gemma was turned in to one of our local veterinarians, and they asked Paws Animal Shelter to take her so she could find a forever home. One of the veterinarians tried to give her a home, but she had dogs and Gemma was terrified of them, so she needs a home that is dog free. She's shy but she adjusted to the adult cat room in which she lived, and she got along well with her roommates. However, she stayed hidden a lot, so when we had an opening in the Zen Meow room, we moved her there. It was a great move, as she is really coming out of her shell now! We are a free-roam shelter, and cats are only caged the first few days they're in a room. After that, we open the door and they can come and go as they please. She just loves to be petted and to be close to people. She's ready to be adopted, so stop by and meet this sweet loving cat!
