Meet Futu (aka Patches), our gentlest giant with a heart of gold-- and one of the longest residents in our care. This sweet boy's journey began on the streets, where he roamed for years until fate led him to our stray cat colony. When we first laid eyes on him, it was clear that Patches wasn't just any stray; he bore the scars of his past adventures but exuded a softness and gentleness that spoke volumes about his true nature. It was evident that he once belonged to someone and had an abundance of love to share with the right family. Despite his rough past, Patches is remarkably calm and relaxed, finding solace in human companionship. He adores attention, reveling in pets and treats, and his purrs resonate like a soothing engine, a testament to his contentment. He's been with us since January 2023, where we've ensured his health and well-being, including covering much needed dental surgery shortly after he came into our care. Patches is FIV+, but that doesn't dim his brightness or hinder his vitality. Regardless of his condition, he's a healthy boy who deserves a loving family committed to his ongoing care and happiness. He is safe to be adopted into a home with, or without other cats. FIV+ cats DO live long lives alongside their non-FIV counterparts, FIV+ means his immune system is not as strong as other cats!
