Furgie

Once a spicy feral kitten, Furgie has significantly turned down the “heat” while in foster care. She has been working hard on her manners and people skills, and is showing tremendous social progress! Once she is comfortable with you, she will purr and rub on your legs as soon as you enter the room. She loves to give head butts - a sign of love - and little love nibbles. In her foster home, she has gone from hisses-to-kisses, and hopes that her forever family will show her the same patience and affection, so that they can see her loving side that her foster adores! While she hasn’t become 100% comfortable with being smothered with affection or held just yet, her foster knows she can get there soon. She can still be a little nervous around loud noises and new experiences as well, so we recommend Furgie bonding with her adopter in a smaller space first before letting her free roam their entire home. She likes playing with toys that she can bat around (mice, crinkle balls, springs) and LOVES chasing laser pointer dots. There isn't a treat she will turn down, but lickable treats are her favorite! Furgie likes head scratches the most when accepting your affection, and hanging out with her kitty friends. She would actually do best having another confident kitty to grow up with in her new home, who can help her come out of her shell even more. Furgie loves other cats and lives comfortably with friendly dogs. We feel that she would do okay in a home with respectful cat-savvy children 7+. Furgie needs an adopter who can work with her on continuing her socialization skills, so she can become the lap cat we know she can be!
