My Story

Introducing Frosting: The Shy Whisper of Grey Hello! I'm Frosting, but my friends call me Frostin' Boston when they're feeling playful. - Who Am I? Picture a delicate puff of grey mist--that's me with my sleek grey fur and petite frame. My gaze is soft and my presence gentle, creating a calming aura wherever I perch. - My Spirit: I'm the embodiment of tenderness wrapped in a shy exterior. I might take a little while to warm up, especially to men, but give me a moment and I'll show you my affectionate and cuddly side. I'm quite the observant cat, watching the world go by with a quiet curiosity. Although I'm a bit anxious and get scared easily, my gentle nature always shines through. - What I Love: I'm a bit of a gourmet when it comes to food--always eager but very particular about what I eat. Enclosed spaces are my sanctuary, offering me comfort and security. I cherish long naps and peaceful, quiet spots. My days are well-spent lounging in cat towers, scratching cardboard, and playing with my favorite toys--balls, bottlecaps, strings, and anything that crinkles. Oh, and let's not forget my sister, Cupcake, my lifelong companion and partner in all adventures. - My Story: My sister and I were once beloved mascots of the Waterloo Press, living there since we were abandoned as kittens after our owner chose a new pet over us. The kind employees took us in and made us part of their family, even hanging Christmas stockings for us! Sadly, the press is closing, and now, we're looking for a new place to call home together. Are you the kind soul who can give a shy cat like me a forever home? Let's cozy up and create a sweet story together--just like cupcakes and frosting! An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are a free will donation.
