My Story
Frodo and Sam are bonded brothers, who were rescued from the street at 10 months old. They are very affectionate, greet their human at the door when she comes home, love to play with cat dancers and wand toys with their human, love to play catch with toy mice and balls with their human. Excellent fly hunters. They love to take naps with their human, and LOVE pets! Frodo loves chin scratches and has an amazing elevator butt.
Sam's favorite pastimes include: playing with balls in the bathtub, wrestling with and chasing his brother, getting pets from his foster mom, hunting flies, catching crunchy treats in his paws and eating them, breakfast and dinner time, and following foster mom to bed and sleeping on the kitty tree next to her bed (and sometimes curling up next to her when the resident cats allow it!), playing cat dancer and wand toy with foster mom, eating and rolling in catnip, looking at foster mom with his whole big heart in his sweet, giant eyes.
Frodo's favorite pastimes include: playing with toy mice and carrying them around in his mouth, playing fetch with toy mice and foster mom, wrestling with and playing zoomies with his brother, protecting his brother (Sam is all heart and very submissive), being the brave protector of the family, bringing gifts (toy mice and other toys) to foster mom, catching treats in his paws and eating them, breakfast and dinner time, napping next to foster mom's legs (sometimes on them), eating and rolling in catnip, looking at foster mom with keen intelligence and love in his eyes.
They are adventurous and playful and very athletic. They will do best in a home with a lot of playful stimulation and preferably a catio or at least big windows they can sit in to enjoy the sites and sounds of the outdoors.
These boys choose the indoor life for themselves. They were born behind their foster mom's apartment building, and they began to look for pets when she and the neighbors fed them. Soon, they would come running over to her with their tails held high whenever they saw her, and would rub all over her, looking for affection. Then one day, Sam showed up on her doorstep, looking for love and treats. He got all that and catnip and a mouse toy! He started trying to come in her house, but with resident cats, she had to make sure he wouldn't pass anything on to them, and she knew that he and his brother were a team (they were always looking out for each other outside!), and if she took in one, she would have to take in both. A few days later, Frodo showed up with Sam on the door step, and after playing together outside for several hours (and trying to sneak in the house several times!) foster mom knew she had to make a plan to get them inside. With the help of her neighbors and Kitt Crusaders, foster mom got the boys inside, where the decompressed in the bathroom while they were vetted and neutered and got used to that indoor cat life.
Now they have the run of the house with the 2 resident cats, enjoying the good life of soft beds, yummy food, lots of treats and toys, and loads of playtime and affection with foster mom.
These sweet boys need to be adopted together because they were each other's survival system on the street, and they are best friends. They have been inside since February, are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, snap tested (negative) and have had flea and parasite treatments, and they are healthy, happy and ready for their furever home.
They will do best in a home where their human(s) have time to play with them every day, and will be patient with them as they may need time to adjust to new circumstances. If you give them that, they will reward you with abundant rubs, trilling meows, belly laughs at their silly antics, affection and looks filled with love. You know that cat meme with the orange cat with the huge eyes? That's basically Sam. He will melt your heart. And the intelligence in Frodo's eyes will blow your mind.
This was written by their foster mom who obviously thinks the world of these boys. The best boys.
