My Story

Name: Frannie Age: About 8 months Breed: Domestic Short Hair Reason for being at the shelter: Stray Description: Frannie is a newer arrival and is still a bit of a scaredy cat. She doesn’t want to be that way but she is nervous and acts timidly. But when you spend a little time with her, she begins to relax. She really appreciates human company. She enjoys the gentle rubs and the assurance people offer. It just soothes her. All the while, she vigorously kneads her paws in a blanket. She’s just expressing her joy from all the love she’s getting. If she gets overwhelmed, Frannie may respond with a love nip. But soon she returns to receiving love and kneading her blanket or just making air biscuits . Frannie is a chatty kitty and sometimes mutters. She yearns for human contact but is unsure how to get it so she mutters and coos for attention. We look forward to seeing social improvements as Frannie gets more comfortable and settled here. All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to meet the animal. An application can be found on our website using this link https://www.ophumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to process your application. We are screening the applications for the first BEST fit for each animal. If you are approved, you will be contacted by us via phone or email to schedule an appointment.
