Foxy is as unique and quirky as her signature smirky smile! If you are on the search for a feline friend that is both independent and cuddly, smart and sassy but equally silly and sweet - look no further! This shiny petite tuxedo girl is a kitty with a story … and a really big heart. Foxy’s life started out just about as rough as it can be for a little one pound kitten, abandoned near the airport, hiding in car engines and darting bush to bush for cover. One unfortunate day, something with a much bigger mouth than Foxy attacked her and bit her whole head, which caused massive injuries to 3/4 of her face. The rescue is happy to share the full story with any adopter interested, but to keep her bio here light and fun, let’s just say that what at first looked dire, turned into a miraculous recovery. This little survivor is as playful and full of spunk as any kitten can be… except she can tell her cat friends that she has indeed looked directly down the throat of a ‘big something’ and lived to tell the tale! Despite her rough start to life, Foxy now very much enjoys the finer things in life. A long afternoon nap in the sliver of sunshine on a fluffy blanket on the couch. Check. Watching cat tv while lounging on a cat tree. Check. Playing with the wand toy and twisting and twirling midair to show-off her moves. Check. Snuggling up to her human for bedtime ZZZs in the crook of your arm. Total check. Foxy is shy at first with new people but warms up to those who show her warmth. Once you’re in the circle of trust, her love knows no bounds. She is affectionate and loves to snuggle. She is not high or low energy but a perfect middle lane and a great buddy for someone looking for a lap cat for study/work from home days. Foxy gets along with other cats and is neutral with cat-friendly dogs (which is pretty amazing given the above described story)! She would not be ideal for a home with young children or a busy household. Since she’s not clingy or needy, so she would be fine in a home where the family is gone during the day for work or school. Foxy is not bonded to any one particular other cat in her foster home, so she can be adopted as a +1 for a home with another cat (elderly other cat is fine) or can be adopted solo as an only household cat.
