MEET FIONA! Fiona is a 3 year old domestic short hair blue cream tabby who was rescued from a colony of cats who were living in a very unhealthy living environment and where they were also being viciously attached by aggressive dogs. When rescued, she weighed only 4 pounds and was so thin and frail. Her loving foster mom gave her the very best of care. She had extensive dental work and her mouth is now feeling oh so much better. Fiona also has a condition called Pillow Pad (Plasma Cell Pododermatitis), which can cause swelling of the pads of the feet and sometimes the nose. This is easily being managed with inexpensive medication that she takes like a champ! Fiona is very comfortable. Fiona's foster mom tells us: "Fiona is shy and may hide at first, but will warm up with a lot of attention. She is a DEFINITE lap cat and will sit in your lap as long as you will hold her. She wiggles and drools with happiness when lap sitting. She is very vocal and will carry on a conversation with you. The tip of her little pink tongue usually sticks out just a wee bit. She is learning to play, which is something she never had the opportunity to do before." We believe that Fiona may do well with a laid back, non-aggressive cat companion. She will also do well as an only cat.
