My Story

What foster mom has to say about me: "Finley is a sweetheart through and through. If you make eye contact with him, he trills and starts rubbing his face on things to lure you in for scritches. He LOVES to be pet, and would love nothing more than to be someone's snuggle buddy for naps and more. And this dude can PASS OUT and nap like nobody's business! When he walks up to you, his tail bends forward and almost touches his head. This was a cool trait that all of his siblings had, too. It's so funny! Finley's ideal home would be somewhere with at least one other playful cat. The more playful, the better! Finley loves wrestling with his cat friends all around the house. Sometimes Finley wants to keep playing, even if his buddy wants to stop. He's still working on picking up on those social cues, so any future cat friend of his should also have a lot of play stamina! The best part about his energetic playfulness is that he has been an amazing big foster brother to any kittens we have had while he's been here. We frequently see them rolling and tumbling around, having a blast. Finley is also great with the five dogs and rowdy 4 year old that live here. He's pretty much unbothered by most things, and is just happy to live life. Finley has no teeth! He was diagnosed with severe stomatitis when he was younger (a likely auto-immune issue where his immune system attacks his teeth). His mouth was extremely inflamed, and his gums looked awful. He must have been in so much pain, but was still the sweetheart we know and love! We had all of his teeth extracted, and voila--his mouth has looked and felt great ever since, with zero issues! So if you don't want to have to worry about dental disease when your feline friend gets older, Finley may be the cat for you (he also still eats dry food with no problem). And if you want a loving, kind, happy, playful, all around wonderful cat, then Finley is definitely the cat for you!" Finley's adoption fee is $100, which helps our rescue cover the cost of his neuter, FeLV/FIV test (he is negative), microchip, vaccinations, dewormings, and flea treatment.
