My Story

Finch is your lovable, huggable, Pooh Bear, of a cat. He was bottle fed from 3 weeks old and handled alot by people b/c of this. He has been raised around other cats who have taught him alot! He just melts in your arms when you hold him. Finch has gorgeous fur with ear tufts which make him that much more adorable. Finch has a very wedged shaped head, sleek body.... shiny fur....Beautiful boy! When the light hits him just right, you can see his black tabby markings against his black fur. Quite a unique fella! Finch loves to be with people and likes to come snuggle with you on the couch and sit on your feet when you are doing dishes! Finch absolutely adores other cats and dogs. One of his favorite past times is playing with a wagging dogs tail! Finch also likes to carry around his toys in his mouth and show off his prize to everyone. Finch will cuddle up with you, a dog, or another cat to sleep at night. When he is hungry, he will stand up on his back legs and rest his front paws against your leg and look up at you. Who can resist!? Finch is about 7 months old as of 11/9/09 and will be on the petite side once full grown. Finch has been felv/fiv tested negative, had a physical exam, dewormed, fecal checked, flea treated, and neutered. Finch can sometimes have watery looking eyes which the vet says is due to some eyelashes that tickle his eyeball. It is not constant though as it seems to show more when he is stressed. Finch does not seem to care about this at all and goes about his life like the happy cat that he is. In foster care in Jackson.  He is currently in a lively home with other kittens, dogs and children, he loves everbody.

WHY YOU SHOULD ADOPT A BLACK KITTY
Why Black?

Black is slimming…Black is elegant…Black is sophisticated…Black is the color of power and authority…Black is considered stylish and timeless…Black kitty hairs won’t show up on that perfect little black dress !

Did You Know?

Black cats are considered good luck in England, Japan, and Australia!
• Some believe a bride will have luck on her big day if a black cat sneezes near her!
• In Scotland, finding a black cat on your porch is a sign of riches and happiness to come!
• Some believe stroking the fur of black cats brings health and wealth!
• Having a black cat enter your home is also thought to bring good luck!

Why You Should Consider Adopting A Black Cat:

Black cats tend to be the most overlooked in shelters. They are statistically-proven to be more difficult to adopt from shelter locations, despite being sweet, friendly, affectionate and well-adjusted like their more colorful counterparts. Remember black cats are the same as any felines – lovable, affectionate companions that give years of unconditional love and friendship!
