Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): neutered, UTD on rabies, microchipped Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome):We adopted Figaro when he was a kitten. We recently lost one of our dogs and since then he has been lonely without him. Now Figaro is attacking our other dog. I do *think* his intention is to play but our dog is older and does not want to play with him. This is why I think another home would be best -maybe with a playmate for him. Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): He likes to be petted but not all the time. He likes to sleep in our bed too.. I think he would enjoy a companion cat who would want to play but he has never been around other cats since I have had him. He likes my young child and tolerates my toddler. He doesn’t like when we go outside in the yard or close doors, he will stand at the door and meow until we come back in or open the door. He does love his people Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): I can give all food we have, his cat tower, and cat toys. He really likes his round scratching toy with a ball in the circle. What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): he only eats dry food , but i just learned why all cats need wet food daily (had no clue). Hopefully in next home his new owner can start limiting the processed dry-food and start incorporating wet food into his diet. More below on why. :::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry foodand ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.
