Fig is a sweet and salty fellow. The Sweet: When Fig first arrived at the shelter, he was friendly and enjoyed people. He is stunning with his long, shiny black coat. Fig knows he’s gorgeous and expects recognition through praise. Fig has great jumping skills which he demonstrates when snagging feather wand toys in mid air. Fig is a swift and graceful runner. He is smart, curious, and alert. The Salty: Fig is becoming very frustrated at the shelter. Fig excels at antagonizing other cats with his disapproving glance, grumbling, swatting, chase and eventual fight. There are certain cats he targets. It pleases him to see other cats scamper for safety. He can be a bully and is quite proud of it. Since he is so frustrated, he doesn’t show well now will people - he can take out his annoyance by swatting those who are trying to meet him. He will need adopters who understand him and give him the time to decompress in a new home. The most successful adoption would be a quiet home where he is the only cat in the home. We do not recommend a home with small children at this time.
