Sadly, they were relinquished to NAWS when their owner needed to go into hospice - her wish was that her cherished cats could find new loving homes. Fidelis and Gabriel are a bonded pair that are looking for a new home together. They previously lived in a multi-cat household, and get along with other kitties. They need a patient and compassionate adopter - their whole world has just fallen apart and then lost the only home they had ever known. It will take them some time to adjust to a new home. Fidelis is timid and Gabriel is more social. Both are nervous around new people, but can be petted by their foster (they may give a little hiss first). They still try to find hiding places in her home while they adjust to a new environment. Gabriel likes to be petted if you are patient and get past his initial hissing. Once comfortable, he will continue to ask for more pets and start his rumble/purr while enjoying the attention. When he builds trust, he hides less and comes out for more love and pets. Fidelis is more scared than his brother and needs his brother for companionship and comfort. He needs patience but he can be handled. These two need love and patience.
