My Story

What a handsome boy! Fergus is an 8 year-old friendly guy who likes to be the center of attention. He loves neck rubs and scratches and will sit in your lap to get them. He enjoys a cat companion but doesn’t need one if he has an attentive owner. He prowls the rooms looking for a wand or feather toy to play with. He likes to be brushed and tolerates nail trims very well. He is diabetic but on an oral med that is given once a day. He does need diabetic food. He would make a great companion to anyone with a calm home. Come meet this wonderful cat. His adoption comes with a veterinary consult about diabetes, testing equipment and a discussion about his care and preferences. Fergus would be okay with respectful older children or respectful dogs. Fergus has urinated on fabric items when left out, and his adoption will also come with a behavioral consult. He is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, flea treated, vet examined, dewormed, FeLV/FIV tested, spayed, and ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family. If you are interested in adopting him, please head to our website to fill out an application at https://www.nwac-oregon.org/cat-application Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to put you in touch with the foster family to ask any questions, set up an online meeting, or to set up a masked in person meet. If you submit an inquiry instead of an application, this will delay the process and increase the chance someone else will meet YOUR dream cat before you do! If we get an inquiry, we will ask you to fill out an application before we respond to questions. -Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to sending an inquiry or asking to set up a meeting. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care. Please consider adding a donation to your adoption fee, as the demand for rescues to intake cats has never been greater. Please let us know if you would be interested in fostering for us too!
