My Story

Explorer - Leif Erickson, aka Leif Meet the explorers! These three boys were rescued when they were about 2-2.5 weeks old in a dangerous situation. Their mom never came back around despite the trappers working tirelessly to find her, so the boys were raised as bottle babies with around the clock care. They were named after famous explorers who also had to leave home and endure the hardships of adventure and life. They are now 9.5-10 weeks old and absolutely thriving. Their personalities have come out and each kitten has something different to offer. All three boys were raised with dogs, both big and small, and show no fear to them. They all have perfect litter box manners as well. They can play a little rough with each other, and need the occasional intervention as their “mama.” They are good for baths if needed and also nail trims if you bribe them with a churru and do it in your lap. They have been well socialized and do not mind humans or being picked up (one of the boys needs a smidge more time to warm up than the others). Their favorite toys are definitely their tunnel, their cactus scratch post, and their cardboard box castle. Lastly, we have our most fierce and independent, appropriately named after a Viking. Meet Leif Erickson, or Leif for short. Leif is a spunky black/white boy with the cutest black markings on his nose. Leif is definitely the most independent, he hardly seeks human attention except when he is after something (like FOOD!) His motor has been checked out and it does work, but he does not use it as much, as he only wants to be a lap cat on occasion. Leif can be a bit timid of hands coming at him, he prefers to come to you on his own time. Don’t let his personality fool you, he does enjoy making biscuits and cuddling with his brothers, but he likes to act like the tough guy around his humans. He is just as adventurous as his siblings, constantly looking for something new to get into. Leif would do best if he was adopted out with one of his siblings. His timidness to humans at times could be eased with the confidence of one of his litter mates. Apply/Inquire: https://www.loudouncommunitycats.org/adoptions
