Everest and his three siblings were born in a low-income apartment complex in Champaign County. The man who had the mother cat threw her and her babies outside to fend for themselves. A woman in the apartment complex said that the kittens were sleeping under cars and trying to eat, but the bigger cats at the complex were chasing them off. Their eyes were matted and practically shut, and they were not doing well at all. A TNR group was contacted, and they caught momma and her babies. Momma has now been spayed and is in a loving home. The babies went to foster to recover, and once they were big enough they were combo tested and brought to Paws Animal Shelter. They are in the Kitty Cove and are having the time of their lives running around and playing with all of their kitten friends. Stop by and meet these adorable kittens. You're sure to fall in love and want to adopt at least two of them!
