Eugene

Eugene is around 3.5 years old. He is shy but sweet. Eugene needs time to settle into a new environment and will run and hide from strangers at first. He loves to be petted and will purr loudly during petting. Eugene will make biscuits in your lap. Eugene loves to brush up against another cat or a dog or his human. He takes his time to get to know someone, he will walk in large circles around a person and closely close the distance to allow you to pet him. Once he knows you are his friend, he will brush up against you more often for affection. Eugene enjoys his people time but it is when he wants affection. He is not a fan of being picked up at random. He is much comfortable at getting attention and affection when he seeks it out. He has one eye slightly larger than the other. He has seen an optometrist and the issue was determined to not be glaucoma but perhaps something happened when he was a kitten. Does not appear to cause him pain or discomfort. The eye pressure is within normal limits. Eugene should be in a home with another animal. He likes to be next to a cat or dog for support, comfort, and companionship. He will sometimes chase after a cat to play or groom.
