She is ready to open her heart to a new family who will make her the center of attention. Although Emily had a hard start to life already having been a mom to a litter of 5 kittens when she herself is estimated to only be a year old - she still has spirit and shows her own kitten energy from time to time. She loves lots of playing with toy mice and wand toys. She absolutely loves looking out the windows at birds, and laying on the couch next to her people. She loves lounging in tunnels and on the back of the couch. She’s starting to rub against her humans legs for attention and loves chin scratches and tons of pets. Emily gets talkative in the evening and loves to wander around, looking out the windows and letting everyone know how she’s feeling. She would be absolutely thrilled going to a home with lots of windows and room for exploration. A catio would probably be a dream come true. She doesn’t seem to mind noises in the house but so far has not been thrilled with the small dog in the foster home getting close to her. She’s fine watching from a distance. A very well behaved dog might be fine with a slow introduction but she gets grouchy around other adult cats so probably needs to be the only cat in the household. Small children might not be great just because she is hesitant with quick movements. But she is not as skittish once she gets to know you. Emily needs a home that knows her history and is patient with her as she gets comfortable. She really seems to warm up quickly when she feels safe, but that does require trust building in the home.
