Emily is a sweet and shy older gal who was brought to the shelter with her sister Charlotte when their family had to move and, sadly, couldn't take them along. Though Emily arrived with her sister, they are not necessarily bonded, so she is on her own quest for a forever family. At the shelter, Emily finds comfort sitting under her cat bed, but she does come around for pets and treats. She loves sitting in laps and being brushed, enjoying gentle pets on her cheeks and the top of her head. Emily also cherishes quality time with her human friends at the shelter. We believe Emily is ready for a wonderful new home where she can enjoy her golden years, with plenty of space to adjust and get comfortable in her new environment. She would thrive in a home with adults and older children, as young kids can be overwhelming for her. However, she could live with a small dog, as she previously got along well with one in her former home.
