Ember

Ember came to us a year and a half ago, having been surrendered due to aggression. She certainly lived up to that for a long while... she was super feisty in her single cage and needed trained hands to deal with her care. But, once Ember was released into the room, after her vet visit that showed no medical concerns, she seemed to simmer down some. She still has a spicy side to be sure. She takes on cats twice her size. She doesn't shy away from confrontation. She does have a very affectionate side to her, as many volunteers and visitors have experienced. Due to her tendency to be unpredictable she would need a cat savvy home with no children. Ember is a young adult, about 4 years old. She eats well, uses her litter box, and is active in her room. UPDATE: Ember did have some time in a loving home, but was returned when her aggression became problematic for her people. We just don't know why she gets this way at times, and maybe we won't find out. We hope that perhaps with some maturity as she ages, her aggression will subside. Until someone else is willing to give her a chance, she will have a home with us at the shelter.
