Elmer came into the shelter cold and sticky!! Elmer had wandered on to a mouse or rat trap glue mat. All of his hair was stuck together and he was very uncomfortable!! We washed him with dish soap to try and cut through the glue but that did not work, we tried some alcohol but that did not work either. Finally we called the poison control hotline and they suggested using polysporin. It worked great and we were able to remove almost all of the glue!! Hence the name "Elmer" after Elmers white glue.
