10-5-06 We finally have some pictures for you but they do not do the boys justice! They have blue eyes, not red, for instance (drat that flash attachment), and they are looking a bit scruffy. They still need to gain weight.
Update 9/24/06: These boys need to gain a bit of weight, then have some dental work done, per the veterinarian. We plan to follow up on that, although we do think that in the right adopter's home they'd be more likely to eat and gain the weight. SPONSORS NEEDED TO HELP WITH DENTAL COSTS! The vet also decided that they are actually 8-9 years old!
They are a matched pair of long-haired 'flame point' Himalayan boys who recently lost their person. She died and we think they are a little upset still from the awful experience. They will have to be adopted together as they are very bonded. They also respond to their names. We already have a female kitten in house named Egypt, but since this male Egypt responds to his name, he'll keep it, too.
Each is over 10 pounds but looks much larger due to all the handsome fur! Very sweet and loving boys need a permanent and safe home where they will be the pampered princes they deserve to be! Come see them soon, please.
Our adoption fee is $35 with a cardboard cat carrier, or $30 if you provide a carrier. All cats must be transported safely in a carrier. Additional carriers are $5 each. The fee includes:
Come to the shelter to complete an adoption application, or print one from the 'adoption' page of our website http://www.guardianangelscatclub.org and bring it in. Out of town adopters or those wishing to expedite the adoption process may bring proof that pets past and present have been spayed/neutered and kept current on shots. Please note we do not ship cats! Adopter must come in person to the shelter.
Our adoption contract requires that cats be returned to us if for any reason at any time you cannot or will not be able to keep the cat. This includes giving us the option to accept the cat back at the shelter if your vet recommends euthanasia (unless the cat is obviously very injured or sick and sufferering at the time).
