Submitting an application to our website (APlaceFurRescuee.org) is the very FIRST step in adopting one of our animals. 2. We will email you back. To arrange a meet up if we are interested in having you adopt one of our animals. 3. Next, we will set up a meet and greet time to see if it is a perfect fit for all parties involved. 4. If all goes well, then we will proceed with adopting out to you. You will need to be at least 18 years old, and have to have a CA driver’s license or some form of ID for us to photocopy. All cats must be picked up in carriers when leaving any of our adoption locations (No exceptions). Here at A Place Fur Rescue, we are a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue group that is based out of Sacramento, Ca. We primarily focus our mission to help homeless pets by pulling animals out from the surrounding shelters and placing them into our rescue with foster homes. After that we place them in our two pet store locations (Petco on Folsom Blvd & Petsmart in Delta Shores shopping center). We also bring them to our community adoption events. All in the hopes to get these babies even more public exposure to increase their chances of finding forever loving homes. Every animal in our organization is vetted by being spayed(females)/neutered (males), microchipped, and vaccinated before they leave our care as well. We offer free nail trims for life, and every pet goes home with a goodie bag filled with pet store coupons, new toys, and treats to get them comfortable in their brand new forever home. We want the absolute best homes for our pets, and are hopeful potential adopters have that in mind as well when pursuing one of our pets for adoption. If an animal was not to work out in its next home, then we want the animal RETURNED to us. Our animals will never step foot in a shelter or see the streets ever again. We are committed to them for life, in ensuring they always have more than just a shelter.
