Effie

It's been a long road for this girl who was living on the streets! I'm Effie, born on November 23, 2022, and I've been on quite a journey. When I was rescued, I had maggots infesting a large wound on my rear left leg and was in liver failure from the infection. To make things even tougher, I miscarried several fetuses just a day into my treatment— I was so skinny, no one even knew I was pregnant. It took a few weeks of care, but I bounced back amazingly well! I'm now healthy, on a normal diet, and only need some pain meds and ointment for my much smaller wound. Through it all, I've kept my sweet disposition. I love chatting back and forth with you, and I toss my head when I meow—it's pretty adorable, if I do say so myself. I'm all about affection and love being around people. Petting and cuddling are my favorite activities, more so than playing. I'm curious about the other cats, but my true joy is being close to my human friends. If you're looking for a loving, resilient kitty who just wants to shower you with affection, I'm your girl!
