My Story

Breed - Domestic Short Hair Spayed Female Weight - Around 6 pounds Estimated Age - 9 months as of June 2024 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out our cat adoption questionnaire at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTAR/Cat. For questions, email [email protected]. HOW TO MEET THIS CAT: This cat is in a foster home. To meet her, please complete the adoption questionnaire. LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Kelsey, [email protected] ADOPTION FEE: Her adoption fee is $170. This fee INCLUDES spay, vaccines, and microchip. Ask us about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, and other discounts! HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH: CATS: Echo is good with other cats and must be adopted with her brother, Almond. DOGS: She can be nervous to start so would probably prefer a home without dogs. KIDS: Good with older kids. KNOWN LIKES: Elevated surfaces, wet food, other cats! KNOWN DISLIKES: Loud noises. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Echo is silky soft and solid black; even her whiskers. She is a bit scared with new people, but adjusts quickly with some quiet bonding time. Loud noises and stomping frighten her so she would do best without small children. She feels very safe when people are on her level so a cat tree is ideal. Once warmed up, she asks for pets nonstop and is a smart and responsive little girl. Echo must be adopted with her brother, Almond. HT ADOPTION INCLUDES: Spay/Neuter A series of FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine (if old enough), and deworming Microchip - lifetime registration with no fees EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free physical exam with Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Dupont Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care within 30 days of adoption and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) within 14 days of adoption. A portion of EVERY ADOPTION fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities. BE A FOSTER: Save a life: http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program.
