Update: 3/19/06 "DJ" has adjusted to "family" life pretty well but would be MUCH happier in a home with less commotion. She follows us into the bathroom meowing loudly for a little affection and TLC. She tolerates the other animals but would prefer a home with few other pets where she would get the attention she soo desires. She is an affectionate kitty that would love to be treated like a queen. She is a mellow girl that has no use for play and would be totally content lounging on a lap rather than being thrown into an active environment. She is our choice for a mature home needing companionship. Won't you help us help her to find a permanent home before it's too late?
1/14/06: Diamond Jane and Grey Nose found themselves uprooted when their previous owners were given short notice about a relocation at work. Unfortunately, their new landlords were less than thrilled about taking in 4 cats to their newly remodeled apartment. The tough decision was made to place these two rather than the family risking not finding other housing once they get to Texas. Diamond Jane is a robust gal at 13# while her brother Grey Nose tops the scale at 17+#. They are 4 yrs old and VERY mellow prefering to lounge rather than play. They would do best in a home with older children though their former owners said they grew up with dogs, cats and grandkids around quite frequently. Priority will be given only to those inquiries that contain a completed application. We get dozens of emails and phone calls each day with only an hour of "free time" to volunteer and answer them around our full-time jobs and family life...don't let your inquiry get passed by because of an incomplete application. They are both altered, tested, vaccinated and litter trained. We would like to see them be placed as a two-some, but will accept all inquiries in order to find them a good home.
