Dex and his brother Morgon were born to a stray mom cat in a southeast Portland backyard. Luckily for them, that backyard belonged to a cat lover who realized that the two of them needed to be socialized so that they would trust humans. She cared for them for four months in her home until they could come to the shelter and get some more exposure. Now Dex (who loves to sleep in bed with his human) is ready for a permanent home where he and Morgon can cuddle up together.
Dex is a very attractive orange tabby boy. He loves to be with his brother Morgon. He is rather shy, but very gentle and sweet. He may take a little while to come out of his shell, but it will be worth the wait! He is a young, active and playful kitty who just needs a little encouragement. Please come meet Dex and his brother Morgon. These boys are less than a year old and they have a long life ahead of them to share with you!

Better with a Buddy!
Dex and Morgon are a bonded pair. They are dependent on each other and would be very unhappy if separated. To help these cats get adopted as a pair, Cat Adoption Team now offers a discount of $50 on the second cat when bonded pairs are adopted together. Only CAT's Operations Manager will determine which cats are bonded pairs and this will be noted on the cats' charts. Bonded pairs apply to adult cats 1 year of age or older that are surrendered to the shelter at the same time from the same owner. The discount does not apply to kittens or to two cats that may be sharing a cage but came in separately.
We hope that this discount will encourage adopters to open their hearts even more and give two cats that really depend on each other another chance at a forever home.
