Commander (gets adopted with Sierra and Ozzie)

If there was a test for paternal giftedness, Commander would win it hands down. He arrived at Almost Home with 6 kittens, two still in need of mother's milk, and four old enough for solid foods. He took his job very seriously and allowed all the kittens, but especially the smallest, to burrow into him for warmth. He never turned away a kitten who came looking to him for reassuring. One of the kittens, Sierra, was especially glued to his side. He would snuggle and play with her with endless patience, even when she began to nip at his tail! Commander has the sweetest and most gentle personality. When it came time to meet the older cats of his foster house he didn't hiss once, even when they got territorial with him. Instead he just stopped, waited for the hissing to stop, and then moved forward to sniff. His calm acceptance of the situation led him to be trusted to wander anywhere in the house. Even with his new freedom Commander never forgot his first duty was to his kittens. One time a kitten got themselves trapped behind a closed door. Before the humans could come help Commander was at the doorway chirping reassurance at the kitten that it would be okay. Another time when a video played that had kittens in discomfort he sprang from where he had been sleeping to search out the little creatures. Because Sierra has learned to trust feeling safe with Commander, and the strong bond they formed with Ozzie after being at AHA together, all 3 will be adopted together.
