My Story

Collin came to PAWS & More under some pretty sad circumstances — his owner was terminally ill and had to give him up. He’s a big gentle boy with a soul to match. Colin was used to a loving home where he was showered with love and attention and his transition to the shelter was rough. He was extremely depressed. He was placed in a foster home where he was much happier and thriving. He was adopted in March but he had a rough adjustment to his new home and he was returned to the shelter after a month. He is again waiting for a forever home. He loves to snuggle and enjoys being groomed. He purrs constantly when he receives attention. We’re hoping to find him a new forever home where his new family can shower him with love. He is about six years young. He would be just fine with other cats and a gentle dog. Please give this lovable big boy a chance. A little patience and a lot of love is just what this guy needs. Please consider opening your heart to Colin! Colin is listed as special needs because he is difficult to place due to how he reacts to change and stress. Collin is being fostered in Washington, Ia. For more information, please contact Sheila at [email protected] or 319-863-0604. All our cats have been spayed/neutered, tested for feline leukemia, vaccinated against feline distemper and feline parvo, and have been wormed. They have also been treated for fleas and ear mites and bathed. Microchipping and transfer of bragging rights will take place at the time of adoption--and you will want to brag once you take this lovely kitty home.
