My Story

*** Cleo is at our PetCo, Mira Mesa adoption center. *** Brown/orange torbie, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/8/16, #18891 Cats: good solo or mellow cat Dogs: comfortable Children: older calmer kids Cleo lost her longtime home through no fault of her own when her guardian had a change in living circumstances and could no longer keep her. She moved into foster care to receive lots of love as she transitioned to the new environment and situation. Now Cleo is hoping that a special person will find her and give her a loving home for the rest of her life. Cleo is the queen of the brush! She adores brushing time: she will really lean into it and practically snuggle up against the bristles. It's a great way to get acquainted with her. Cleo is a quiet-natured kitty who is little reserved; she needs time to adjust to changes in her life, but a patient tone and slow approach will coax her out and she turns into such a love bug once she knows you. It's subtle, but she'll do this adorable little twitch at the very tip of her tail for her favorite people! She is a gentle girl, a loving girl, a total sweetheart... she'll seek out her humans and tuck her head into your elbow while she sits on your lap for pets. Cleo enjoys cozy and quiet nooks for napping, and when she's gotten enough z's will indulge in some playtime. She has a favorite mini stuffed puppy toy that keeps her company and she likes to lounge on her sunny window perch. Cleo is extremely well-behaved and easygoing with so much love to offer her people. Cleo would do well as a solo kitty or could live with another calm well-behaved cat; she can be a little intimidated by dominant cats who might pick on her. She has lived with a dog before so could likely adjust to a cat-friendly canine. Since she likes a quieter home, younger and more boisterous children wouldn't be her preference, though older respectful children would probably be fine. Cleo's striking aqua-green eyes are just one of her stunning features, and her endearing personality will make your heart melt. Are you ready to fall in love?
