My Story

Claudette is a feisty calico one year old, she weighs about 8 pounds and she has decided to rule everyone in the house! Looking for a calico with catitude you found it.

Claudette is certainly a diva. She reminds me of the muppet, Miss Piggy - loud, larger than life, and good looking in an over the top way!

How Does the Cat Get Along With Other Cats and Dogs?:

Claudette gets along fine with her kitty friends but does not take any guff off her doggie roommates. Things are best when they all let her have her way. The black lab has had a few whacks on the head and nose if he gets to close. Recently, the jack russell has enjoyed lots of play from Claudette. they have a blast together. I think the lab is a bit jealous.

Personality Traits of This Cat:

Claudette is the first one at the food bowl and the last one to leave. She decides when you can pet her and when she has had enough. She hates being brushed and being put into her carrier to go to the vet or an event. If you try to catch her to brush her or give her meds, she will fight to get away from you. She has to be in the middle of everything! She loves for me to throw her mousy toy so she can bat it around. She loves her feather stick. She is not shy at all and makes her presence felt at all times.

Claudette LOVES water. Her biggest down fall is that she will jump on the counter to drink fresh water out of the tap. Anyone that adopts her needs to be ready for this behavior. I’m sure that she could adjust to the bathroom sink or a water fountain would be great for Claudette. I could never have one of these in my rescue kitten room because it would be empty all the time. Cats love running water.

Claudette prefers not to be picked up. She has no problem curling up in your lap for a warm nap or camping out next to you on the chair/couch/bed. If I have to pick her up to move her or to put her in a carrier I would scruff her so I can feel secure taking her from here to there. For this reason I would not consider adoption to a family with small or young children. Children need to be able to say…”Yea that’s my cat. She doesn’t like to be picked up and if you want to pet her please use caution. She is definitely a “soft biter” but I would not put it past her to clamp down once in a while.

None of my other foster cats are as outgoing as Claudette or seem to need to be the star of every show! All the other cats are much more laid back. Claudette is the only calico I have ever fostered so I can't compare her to others, but I have always heard that they were divas. My other fosters live in her shadow!

Prefect home for Claudette is a home where there is only one owner. She will be the most loyal to that person. She loves her foster mom the most in the house and all the others get drive by loving. Please before you consider Claudette for your home re read my description.

Claudette…you will love her or hate her! I personally LOVE her!

Please email me at [email protected] for an application.

Her adoption donation is $100. She is spayed, given her vaccines and rabies, been dewormed and flea treated.
