Clarence

Clarence came to ARC in pretty rough shape. He had several wounds around his face and ears. He still is recovering from the tough life he endured, but he enjoys interactions with people. He can be a little scared in novel situations. We are still working with him to heal from his injuries and neglect, but we just had to get his gumplepuss face posted for all to see! Clarence is marked as "special needs" because he is positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This does NOT impact his adoptability, he is well on his way to healing and is a healthy boy! He can share a home with other kitties as long as they do not fight. FIV is spread through deep puncture wounds from bites, mating or from mother to kittens. Clarence is neutered, so the only concern would be to make sure he didn't fight with other cats. There is a lot of information on the internet about FIV, but not all of it is accurate or up to date.
