Meet Chia, a petite brown tabby with the most gorgeous big green eyes! Chia is about 2 years old and was rescued off the streets, where she lived likely all of her life. We believe she had few positive interactions with people, so this beauty requires a slow approach when it comes to affection and humans. Chia is still learning to fully trust and she will need an experienced cat owner who will let her take the lead regarding pets and cuddles. Over time, there is no doubt that she will become a wonderful companion. Chia enjoys a gentle head pet, as well as scratches along her back, and shows her appreciation by making her world-famous biscuits and purring softly. She is a low-maintenance kitty who would love nothing more than to spend her afternoons looking out the window from her hammock or snuggling in a soft bed. She also loves her treats! Chia would do best in a quieter household with adults. She has met children and seems ok as long as they are gentle, slow, and respectful of her boundaries.
