FeLV is a virus that weakens the immune system and can lead to a shorter lifespan. Despite this, cats with FeLV are generally just like any other cat and can enjoy a high quality of life with proper care. FeLV cats can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other non-cat animals are perfectly fine! BKB provides FeLV-related medical care and support post-adoption. Questions? Our team is here to provide all the information and support you need for adopting an FeLV+ kitten. Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another companion animal (FeLV+ cat, dog, or other animal). If not, Cheesy Potato Burrito will need to be adopted with one of their siblings (Crunchwrap Supreme, Nacho Grande, Baby Lasagna, Princess Penelope, & Nacho Fries). The adoption fee for a FeLV+ kitten is $50. For two FeLV+ kittens, the adoption fee is $100. Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.
