My Story

Charlie brown is a 3 year old silver tabby. He is still learning about life with people but has quickly moved from a shy and hiding cat to one that seeks out affection and loves to be pet. He is not yet a confident cat, but that will improve over time. I don’t believe Charlie had ever played prior to coming into foster care and he is slowly learning about it. He will play with foam balls and toy mice in the room but will only play with a wand toy in his safe place, at the bottom of the cat tree. As he gains confidence this will likely change. There are no children in his current foster situation, but he would likely be ok with respectful, older children. Charlie loves squeeze up treats, like Churos. It was these treats that helped to bring him out of his shell. He also likes occasional hard treats. He eats hard and soft food without issue. At this time, Charlie does not like to be held or cuddled, but I believe this will change over time. He really likes to be pet and have his back and butt scratched. He even allows occasional belly rubs. He can get over stimulated and will give a soft warning bite or slap with his paw. Then he will come right back for more. He will also swat you if you walk away and do not give him any attention. He may hiss when he first sees you and then will approach for pets. He will hesitantly approach new people for attention. In his foster situation, he has not had any exposure to dogs. He does try to get along with the other cats in the room and would do well with a confident, friendly cat for company. He would also do ok as an only cat. He does like attention from his human and he is getting much better at sharing attention with the other cats. Charlie is mostly a quiet companion and can be really sweet. He really enjoys being loved but sometimes his fearful instincts take over and he will hide if there are quick movements or loud noises. This has improved greatly since the beginning of foster care and should continue toi improve. Neutered, first shots, dewormed, deflead, microchipped Adoption fee $250
