Chanel

Our gorgeous Chanel is a beautiful, sweet, affectionate kitty who LOVES humans. If you're looking for a cat that needs a little extra love and care but who will reward you with non-stop lap and bedtime cuddles, then look no further. Chanel will get onto any lap in sight, where she will plop down and immediately start purring. She's a quiet girl overall, but loves chatting when she first sees you or if she sees some birds outside. If she's within reach and isn't receiving pets, she'll gently tap you numerous times to remind you to do so. She’s a big fan of wands and toys she can chew on (she doesn't chew anything else except her toys!!). Chanel doesn't want any other animal friends…in her world, it should be humans only. Chanel has an auto-immune condition that has given her arthritis and makes her more susceptible to allergic reactions. The pills she takes three times a week greatly help with both. Her medication is VERY inexpensive (only $5 for about 6 months' worth) and just requires popping it in her food where she will happily eat it up. The medication keeps her conditions managed, but you will still need to monitor her for signs of any skin or ear infections (that are also fixable via meds). You'll see from the pictures that she has two crooked front paws! She gets around just fine, but this, in combination with her arthritis, means that she is a big fan of carpet to help with her grip and needs some assistance getting up onto higher spaces (for example, her foster family has a set of pet stairs that can come with her to her new home so she can get up on the bed). Overall, she has some quirks that require some extra care and oversight, but she manages all things like a champ! She just wants to live a comfortable, cuddly, quiet life with people who will be gentle and attentive to her. In return, you'll have a sweetheart of a cat.
