Celeste loves to play and has yet to find a toy she didn’t like. She can be shy around people but her curious nature brings her out of her shell. Her favorite toys are balls and cat dancer toys. Celeste spends most of her day playing with her foster human, wrestling with her brother Topaz, and cuddling up with Topaz for naps . She enjoys napping in the cat hammock or stretching out in the sun by the window. Celeste would do best in a mellow home with Topaz or another young cat. Currently in foster care in Costa Mesa but can be brought to LA. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
