CAYENNE’S STORY:
Cayenne and the other Pepper Kittens were born on 2/20/23 to a feral mama. They lived on a farm in rural KY where her and her siblings’ survival chances were slim to none. The neighbor was cruel and did not want the cats around, threatening to “get rid of them.” A kind, older woman began feeding them, and contacted an HSOC volunteer to give these babies a chance at life.
CAYENNE’S PERSONALITY:
Cayenne is a gentle and sweet girl who is struggling to overcome her fear of people. She improves each day, but is still working through her anxiety. From Cayenne’s reaction to people, we can assume the neighbor of the kind old lady was harsh and abusive. However, she grows each day in her confidence and genuinely wants to see and experience life as a fear-free kitten.
Her affection and adoration of other kitties is infectious, and she's content doing just about anything if she can tag along with someone. Her Forever Family will need to be experienced with shy, traumatized kittens.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She tested negative for FIV and FeLv (yay!). If you would like to meet her, please send your adoption application to
